From August 19 to August 22, 2021, the first course of the second phase of the Architectural Director (Intermediate) Class hosted by Zhubo Design Training Institute started as scheduled. Hanjing Times Building is located at the core of Mawan District, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, known as the "Manhattan of China". The main body of the project consists of a 100-meter high-rise tower and podium. The tower is located on the east side of the site and is a 23-story high-rise tower whose main function is industrial research and development and supporting dormitories. The project builds a green, smart, energy-saving building from multiple dimensions such as drainage design, greening and energy saving, and smart equipment. Its completion not only boosts regional development, but also satisfies all future visions of future enterprises for office.
The Shenzhen Second Children's Hospital, designed by Zhubo Design in cooperation with German Nick and Partners Architects, is under construction, and the prototypes of the four towers on the site are faintly visible. This project is a key medical and health project in Shenzhen’s 13th Five-Year Plan. After completion, it will provide children with a good and comfortable medical environment, which will greatly change the situation of lack of pediatric medical resources in Shenzhen.
The project occupies an important geographical location in the central city of Changsha. In the planning, the building is rotated to a certain angle to make it have a wider field of view facing the river view. Starting from the design concept of “gardening”, the designer respects the original site. In order to preserve the existing famous and ancient trees inside the base, the tower is arranged in a staggered manner by translation or partial twisting, and the urban greening resources are completely introduced into the base. Inside, it echoes with the original mechanism of the city to form a green and ecological livable community.
Heguangchenyue Demonstration Zone adheres to the creation of natural, light and shadow, humanistic and artistic effects, simple design language and modern expression techniques, giving the space a new modern flavor. The façade emphasizes the relationship between the building blocks and the refined design through simple symbols, and the rich material combination creates a comfortable and pleasant space environment. The design integrates modern life aesthetics, emphasizes atmosphere and artistic conception, and is a peaceful place with warm sunlight and mottled shades of trees.
The architectural design takes "mountain and water rhyme" as the design intention, aiming to create a future life scene of distant mountains and water, and the exchange of internal and external spaces. Based on the triangular irregularly shaped land, the "Life Experience Center" twists and unfolds along the western landscape surface. This creates a free and vivid architectural form while reducing the oppression of the residential towers on the north side. The changing direction and the theme park complement each other, forming an indoor and outdoor multi-level and multi-dimensional three-dimensional viewing experience.
On July 14, 2021, the 2021 WAF World Architecture Festival announced the finalists. Two works of Zhubo Design were shortlisted in the unfinished category of Future Projects. On July 29, 2021, the 2020/2021 European Outstanding Architects Forum Award LEAF AWARDS announced the shortlisted projects, and the two works of Zhubo Design and Joint Public Construction were successfully shortlisted.
