Pediatrics Comprehensive Building, Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine
The newly-built Pediatric Complex Building of Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine has designed 472 beds. After it is put into use, the hospital will actually open nearly 2500 beds.
As the only remaining complete medical construction land in the hospital, it is necessary to take this opportunity to sort out the overall planning and adjust the overall functional layout of the hospital through the construction of the pediatric complex, and basically form the three major medical service areas with pediatrics, adults, and medical care. Improve the facilities and conditions of pediatric medical rooms, expand the capacity of pediatric medical services, and highlight the pediatric characteristics of the hospital.
The project land is very tight and the surrounding environment is complex. The design requires overall macro considerations. While sorting out the various functional circulations within the entire campus, the relationship with the city should be dealt with; short-term and long-term integration, considering the divergence of functional space before and after the renovation, and the construction period is not Affect the normal use of the hospital. After completion, the overall functional process will be improved, the medical environment will be improved, and the hospital's image will be comprehensively improved, becoming the new business card of the city. The single building design fully utilizes the available land, makes regular use of space within irregular boundaries, and shrinks the body shape in different directions and heights to reduce the pressure on the courtyard and integrate it into the courtyard.
