Huizhou
Basis International School of Park Lane Harbour
China Resources Xiaojingwan Bayside International School is a boarding school with 1,200 degrees. The school site is located in a mountain forest on the shore of Xiaojing Bay, Huizhou. The forest is densely covered with vegetation. The lowest point of the site is 24 meters high, and the highest point is elevated. It is 82 meters, and the original height difference is 58 meters. Thanks to the natural conditions of talent, it is fundamentally different from the schools in the city. The architect strives to create a campus that blends with nature and creates a learning experience in the mountains and forests for students. Teachers and students can embrace the natural breeze and sing in joy, and read in the morning in the fresh grassy morning sun.
The project plan consists of a teaching group (including a 360-degree view restaurant, an indoor gymnasium), a dormitory group and the Peak Stadium. Due to the special features of mountainous landforms, the teaching groups are enclosed and arranged in panel buildings, which are relatively concentrated and have air corridors to meet the needs of American education in class. The height of the artificial retaining wall between the building and the mountain should be kept within 10M as far as possible to save the cost of soil preparation and ensure the natural lighting and ventilation inside the building. The dormitory group adopts a decentralized dot tower layout to minimize the damage to the mountains caused by the construction in the form of stilts. The dormitory group is close to the entrance and exit of the school and close to the school bus parking space, which is convenient for boarding students' weekly collection and luggage transportation.
